It is Today in Tokyo, Japan.
Perfect World is an urban fantasy roleplay set in present-day Tokyo, inspired by Watase Yuu's Fushigi Yuugi (the Mysterious Play), with additional inspiration from themes found in the Dresden Files, Darker Than Black, Supernatural, and other such media.. The walls between the worlds have thinned, making magic and demons commonplace; people must deal with the mundane and the supernatural with equal seriousness and aplomb.
We offer homes for canon characters from the source material and original characters of whatever fantasy power level strikes you as interesting. Magicians rub elbows with schoolgirls; priestesses run contact with salarymen; shinto demons and spirituality gone amuck. Choose your own adventure, where the adventure is awesome.
Character types that might have some fun here:
Regular, modern-day people: students, businessmen, real-life folks Organized (or unorganized) crime Magicians of various flavors Shapeshifters, particularly of an Asian variety (kitsune == rad) Shinto clergy and/or other people who can handle demons Angry spirits, youkai, things that go bump in the night The hands of the beast gods and their phenomenal cosmic powers Historians, linguists, social scientists, paranormal experts
Canon knowledge is not required, and anything necessary can get picked up from places like Wikipedia with ease, so don't be afraid of a little backstory! It's all in what you make of it.

It was the beginning of the first pass, and dragonriders had just begun taking to the sky in defense of their home, but before too long, many realized that the lush south was simply too vast and too overgrown to protect properly, and the dragonriders and holders made the decision to leave their heated homes and move North... And many did, trading their wooden houses and their vast information for cold stone caverns and the loss of said information, but one small group broke away... Headed by twin Queens, Havareth and Zujath, a group of one hundred dragons and their riders set up an encampment in a snowy mountain territory on the previously uncharted western continent. While it was a hard life, and took much out of the riders, food was plentiful enough and life was quite good for them, Thread falling more rarely. Two holds sprang up quickly, Konta and Arawn Hold, and the weyr was soon named Arawn, the names of the riders of Havareth and Zujath combined.
Three turns passed quickly, and the numbers increased from only one hundred pairs to over three hundred, though candidates were increasingly hard to find, and many of the holders began to dislike their dragonriding 'overlords', Konta especially, and said hold began to hide away some of their eligible children, while Arawn Hold was a much more accommodating. That is, until a sudden illness began wiping out flitters all across the large island, literally making them fall from the sky on their appointed errands. The only sign was a slight loss of color, then a loss of appetite, and finally the flitter's heart simply stopped. Just as a third Hold was rising from the snowy high mountains and coming to make a name for itself, a rash of deaths swooped down, and within the first two weeks of the first firelizard death, over one hundred flitters had died, and soon the illness jumped to the few whers that had made the transition, wiping them out even more quickly than it had the flitters.
And then, what everyone had been expecting and dreading came to pass. With its fuel burning down, the virus made the jump from wher... To dragon, where it would soon come to be known as Dragon's Bane. The smaller the dragon, the more likely they were to die, and within the first few months every single green and blue were gone, and half the browns. Thread fell and without the grace and agility of their smaller brethren, as well as the numbers, the three Holds were left to nearly fend for themselves, two rather large groups splintering off and joining with the few Holdless that existed, one group fleeing to the plains and becoming Raiders, constantly hounding the holds and weyr, and the second to the sea, becoming quite literally Pirates. In an effort to stem complete chaos, the last of the original scientists did the best he could to create a new beast, using vials of wher blood and several canines to act as carriers. The first few experiments were deemed complete failures, twisting the dogs from the inside out, or killing them days after the genes were introduced.
Nearly a turn later, practically all the dragons were gone from the skies and weyrs, but with that horrible twist of fate came a slight glimmer of hope.. The first 'litter' of wherhounds were finally born, and though there were fumbles, eventually seven of the creatures bonded to humans, surpassing all previous expectations as the proved more intelligent than either whers or canines, easily capable of speech, nearly as smart as dragons. Four went wild, after showing that they did not necessarily need to bond, but they would still protect and occasionally come in contact with humans, as long as they were left to go their own way and not hunted or harmed.
But on the heels of this great discovery came a great tragedy. The sister Queens who had given birth to the weyr would, in the end, be the death of each other when they Rose together, one triggering the other's Flight until they flew upwards in a screaming rush, bits of gold and ichor flying as claws tore into each other. Several males were injured before the pair could be dragged apart, Brown Tuth forcing a Catch on Gold Havareth, the far more grievously injured of the pair, while Zujath went on to be Flown by Bronze Letherenth. Day by day dragon's died, until it was down to twenty, then ten, then five... Though desperately needed, the virus mutated too quickly for any hope at catching it, and it was soon known that if there was any chance at all to stop the disease, all dragons would have to die... Finally it was down to Havareth and Zujath. The pair's enmity was unmistakable, even as Havareth quickly lost strength, and though she made it to her Clutching day, squeezing out sixteen eggs, before her injuries and the weight of her illness drained her, unable to even summon the energy to Between. Eleven of the eggs were obviously dead, their shapes deformed and somewhat crushed. She died that night, just before Zujath took to the sands, amidst the keens and cries for their other Queen.
Gold Zujath, somewhat less injured than her sister, was obviously struggling as well as she laid twenty four eggs, including two Queens, but there was already a plan put in place. Looking at her eggs, Zujath looked at her rider once more, gave a croon, and left, Betweening away as well, never to return. Removing herself from the equation, the last dragon on the western continent, would also remove the chance that the virus would be passed on, thus ensuring that at least some of her children would live. Her rider very nearly went insane, but she knew her duty, and remained, a vigilant wraith over the sands and the nineteen healthy eggs that remained after those considered 'dead' had been moved aside, no one able to destroy them, or take them Between as was proper. With the wherhounds growing and getting ready to prove if they are fertile or not, and the eggs getting set to Hatch, with raiders on their doorstep and pirates at the hold's walls, it will take nearly a miracle to get this weyr back on track and keeping their people safe.

As greenleaf comes into play, the weather is changing. It's beautiful, aside from some stormy weather, which is becoming more and more common within the Clans. As the medicine cats and leaders learn of this treacherous prophecy, paranoia spreads like wildfire. Many believe this prophecy has to do with an attack from WindClan. Tension is rising between all cats of the lake, as all prepare for a battle. Little do they know, the threat is not from WindClan, but from something bigger...a force none of the cats will be able to fight...

Chapter 1:Aftermath
The time of Naruto Uzumaki is long since passed, having served as one of Konoha's most benevolent Hokages he passed away now more than a century ago. These days things are... different. The Five Nations, while still formidable are nothing like the power they once were, so much so that the shinobi villages long deemed 'lesser' powers seek to rise up and challenge the establishment which was established during the time of the First Hokage. Additionally there have been numerous reports of 'rising' villages, usurpers to the positions of those long established powers and their smaller counterparts. Some are less than a decade old but all want to carve out their fair share of the continent and if war is necessary to do thus well... the old powers were never much good at sharing.
While stopping at the brink of all out warfare the current political situation teeters upon the top of a precipice, the fall from which would be a long and unpleasant one, another Shinobi War. Peace stands upon the knife's edge and there are forces, interests and people which would throw it from that precarious perch. But down in the darkness which awaits there is yet a glimmer of light and a fragment of hope.
A mysterious and shadowy group known only as Tenmou has recently emerged seeking to unite the fractured Nations under one banner, further threatening an age old system of governance, the Daimyo, already threatened by emerging political ideas the Lords understandably have leveled all their power against Tenmou in order to preserve themselves. But the organization is more than happy to engage and defeat such armies.
This is a moment of choice for the whole world, a crossroads to which there is no return journey, an irreversible game of chance. This is The Aftermath.

We have entered into the second part of a story. A story of a boy, his bonds, and the monstrosity within him.
A new dawn has begun to rise. The horizon in the distance is not a warm orange or a soft yellow. No, the sky has begun to change. Its transformation from a natural yellow has begun to shift the color spectrum, crimson and black bleeding into the heavens; the shroud of Akatsuki has made its presence known.
Their first attack was on Sungakure, made by Deidara, capturing and siphoning the ichibi (one-tail) bijuu within the Godaime Kazekage's body, killing him. The Akatsuki member Akasuna no Sasori was killed in a resulting battle by Haruno Sakura and Chiyo, Sasori's own grandmother.
Akatsuki's second attack was on the Kumogakure shinobi Nii Yugito, a woman whose body containted the nibi (two-tails), a cat-like demon referred to as the Living Ghost. Captured by Hidan and Kakuzu, the "Immortal Twins", these two were later killed by Team Kakashi and Team Asuma after the death of the latter team's leader, the final punch thrown by Uzumaki Naruto with his new, elementally recomposed Fuuton: Rasen-Shuriken.
Next was the sanbi (three-tails). The giant, turtle-like monster was captured in the wild, lacking a jinchuuriki host. The three-tails was captured by Deidara and Sasori's replacement, Tobi.
The Sannin Orochimaru attempted to take over one of the last members of the Uchiha Clan, Uchiha Sasuke, but failed. In a fight for dominance, Uchiha Sasuke proved the superior in Orochimaru's time of weakness.
And now, Uchiha Sasuke has formed a team of specially chosen shinobi, a team called "Hebi".
The world is becoming a more dangerous place as the organization Akatsuki accelerates its movements towards their true goal: world domination. With only a few bijuu left to capture, they climb ever closer to that goal. In this world of risk, danger, and fighting, the shinobi of the world begin to ready themselves for the inevitable battle which put their lives at stake. All the villages know that war is coming and their shinobi prepare themselves.
Who will you stand with? Who will you face? Train, prepare, and get ready, for the world of shinobi awaits!

AC 199. It has been just under three years since Mariemaia's failed revolution, and the fourth anniversary of the infamous villain Treize Khushrenada's defeat approaches, along with a new century. This century, many hope, will be a peaceful and prosperous one, devoid of all war and strife.
"It's more difficult to maintain the peace than it is to attain it."
Of course, not all share such sentiments. There are still those scattered across the colonies and upon Earth who are unsatisfied with the arrangements brought about by the Earth Sphere United Nation. Also amongst these are several handfuls of soldiers, who have found themselves without a place on this world now that the fighting is ended. Many of those who have fought have managed to move on, but there are still those who find themselves unable to adjust to this new environment.
"I do not accept Relena Peacecraft's ways. Her belief that peace is obtained by throwing away weapons and confining soldiers is wrong."
The ESUN's anti-rebel organization known as the Preventers have managed to keep the flames of insurrection and rebellion down to a bare minimum, but even they cannot be everywhere at once. They are wearing thin, and have recently decided to open their ranks to accept new members, furthering decreasing the population of dissatisfied soldiers.
"History is much like an endless waltz. The three beats of war, peace and revolution continue on forever."
Still, the flames of war sputter and flicker. Tales have been spreading along the edge of colonial space of a new menace. Some unknown organization, dubbed the Camorra, has been preying on unwary ships. At first dismissed as a simple rumor, these vicious attacks have been growing bolder and more frequent as of late. What was once a few scattered rumors amongst the more outlying colonies now has the ESUN by storm. Most particularly worrying are the tales of the weapons these pirates wield: Mobile Suits. So far they have evaded any attempts of capture and negotiation. Is this something beyond the scope of the Preventers? Will the five Gundam pilots be forced out of retirement one final time?

And then we continued blissfully into this small but perfect piece of our forever.
The title Breaking Dawn is one that would bring you hope, for it means that the day, the story, is just beginning. And yet, the last page of the novel are two words and two words only.

There is no epilogue, and it leaves one wondering, what about the other half-breeds? What more is found out about Nessie's growth spurts? Does she end up with Jacob? Was Nahuel's wonderment the only reason he stared at the mother and daughter? These, among many other questions ran through my mind not too long ago when I closed the final book in the Twilight Saga. I cried with Bella, I laughed at Jacob, I swooned for Edward.
I, along with my co-admin, are avid roleplayers. This is the first site that I've put my heart and soul into, the first book series to really capture my heart since Harry Potter. There are many of you out there, who are just like us. Who would like to become part of the story again. Who would like to continue the story. Who would like to tear down the title of the last chapter 'Happily Ever After' , which is as obscure as the saying 'one thing led to another'.
On Twilight's Meadow you, the roleplayer, shall decide what one thing leads to the other.
Our main 'plot' is less than restrictive, and we are open to any and all plot ideas. After all, this isn't just our site, but yours. However, to give you a general idea of where the roleplay will be going or based around, is the half-breeds.
Breaking Dawn leaves us wondering about Nahuel's sisters. We have given them names, now it's your turn to give them life. We have all sorts of characters open, in fact, it's the most detailed list I've seen. Any character you could think of is listed...so long as they were at least mentioned throughout the novels and aren't deceased.
Family atmosphere with friendly admin, we're alway there to assist you and answer any questions you may have. Please, come visit our site, and do as the news flash says, pull up a keyboard and talk.

In the forest of many lost and forgotten souls, there are still cats that are struggling to survive and even thrive. After a long period of chaos and lawlessnes, the ancestors of our warriors have reformed into the Clans that were only stories in their kithood. For now, there is peace, but that might only last as long as these felines know the Warriors Within them.

Warriors Within in a intermediate-literate PG-PG13 RP site. We are quite unlike any other roleplay site. We have been open since approximately August 2005. We have just moved to our third site, and are excited to welcome new members. While we love new members, we have a resentment for those that talk in l33tsp3@k [leetspeak], otherwise known as chatspeak, or to long-standing WW members, L!0n$p33k. Please don't use it, and we'll like you just fine. ^^ We also maintain a PG-leaning-towards-PG13 rating, but compared to many other RPGs, we are pretty freelance with our ratings. Similarly, do not be surprised by any of the themes that appear here, as, yes, they have happened in the past on this same site, and are generally fine in moderation. Other than that, feel free to look around and maybe even become a part of Warriors Within.

Now that Clans have been strongly established, there seems to be peace in the forest. Yet, something evil has emerged in the roots of the Clans just as strongly. The Clanmembers though, are completely unaware, and there are few felines that can help them now. Maybe they should watch their backs before it's too late... or is their fate already sealed?

It is many seasons later and the clans are thriving. It is newleaf and prey is plentiful. Herbs are blooming. No wars are on. But that all changes when a group of roving rogues and loners show up and start attacking queens, kits, and elders. What side are you on? Do you want to defend your clan and you territory? Or do you want to defend your honor and your power and defeat you rivals? You decide.
